At least twelve people were injured after a man drove his car into a protest promoting the use of bicycles as a means of transportation in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Please note, the following video includes GRAPHIC CONTENT.
Cell phone video captured an incident Friday in Porto Alegre involving a motorist that sped through a group of aobut 100 cycling activists who were promoting cycling.
About 40 cyclists were injured, and fortunately no fatalities occurred.
A suspect interviewed said he felt threatened by the cyclists, but the people participating in the Critical Mass ride said that none of the cyclist threatened the driver.
Nothing beats a good old Critical Mass ride through the streets of Chicago on a Saturday night! I don’t like kicking and spitting on passing cars so i usually pass on this event. I’m sure it was business as usual in Brazil. lol
