Arlington Heights police responded about 10:25 PM Tuesday to a report of two male occupants possibly smoking marijuana in an older model green Ford Taurus in the parking lot of Jameson Suites, 2111 South Arlington Heights Road. One of the occupants of the car was described as a male/Hispanic in his 20’s who offered a teenaged female drugs and tried to persuade the teen to enter his vehicle.

The suspicious vehicle was gone before police arrived, but a vehicle matching the description was found later at a different location nearby with frosted windows. The vehicle was unoccupied. Police recorded the registration information of the vehicle for the record.

Criminal damage and/or burglary to a pop machine was reported at the Jameson Suites, which is usually a quiet location, about 90 minutes prior to the suspicious vehicle report.

An unknown offender or offenders attempted to pry open a pop machine vending machine and then drilled out the lock to make entry. An unknown amount of cash was stolen.
