Friday, January 21, 2011 was the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new construction site of row homes at the old Arlington Market shopping center, just north of Mariano’s Fresh Market. Grand opening for home sales was Saturday. Local civic officials attended the ceremony and were given a special pre-opening tour of models.

Village of Arlington Heights Trustee Thomas Stengren was impressed by a magnificent row home community that offers its residents the rare opportunity to purchase affordable new construction within five blocks of downtown Arlington Heights. The Arlington Crossings community proximity places residents within walking distance to numerous entertainment and shopping options, including Arlington Park Racetrack, Metropolis Performing Arts Theatre and Mariano’s Fresh Market. Additionally, the Arlington Crossings is just a short walk to more than 40 restaurants and night spots including unique fine dining establishments, national chain restaurants, pizzerias, cafes, pubs and eclectic wine bars.
