First Significant Freeze for the Season Early This Morning

There was ice build up on cars and some bridges were especially slick this Monday morning. The official temperature at Chicago Executive Airport dipped below freezing after 4:00 a.m. and stayed below freezing until about 7:30 a.m.

The low temperature at 5:50 a.m. was 28.4°F. With yesterdays rain and condensation there was some thick ice on some car door handles on cars that were parked outside.

Another short chill is forecast for overnight Thursday-to-Friday with lows in the upper 20’s.
