Arlington Heights Fire Department firefighters extinguished an attic fire about 7:45 p.m. Monday on Mitchell Avenue just south of Oakton Avenue. Firefighters opened the roof for ventilation and thoroughly soaked burning insulation near the roof of the attic.
No injuries were reported.
