Extra-Alarm Fire Destroys Apartment Building on Autumn Blvd, Lakemoor/Fox Lake

Fox Lake Fire Department and area Lake County fire departments responded about 11 p.m. Thursday to an extra-alarm apartment fire at 505 Autumn Boulevard that destroyed the apartment building and left about 50 people without a home this morning. No injuries were reported, but some people had pets that lost their lives in the fire. Up to 20 fire departments from Lake County fought the fire until it was struck out about 5:00 a.m. Friday.

Fire protection in Lakemoor is provided by the Fox Lake Fire Department and the McHenry Fire Proection District and Wauconda Township Fire Protection District.
