Martha Perez, Angelica Mondragon, of Aurora Arrested by Arlington Heights Police for Manufacturing Fake ID’s, Driver’s License

Acting on a tip, Arlington Heights undercover police officers arrested Martha Perez, 33, and Angelica Mondragon, 37, whol live in the 1300 block of Monomoy Street in Aurora. Each woman was charged with two counts of possessing ID manufacturing equipment and possessing fake ID’s — class 3 felonies. Bond was set by Cook County Judge Ellen Beth Mandeltort at $50,000 for each woman on earlier today after police transported the women to court this morning.

An undercover Arlington Heights police officer met with Perez and Mondragon at their residence in the 1300 block of Monomoy Street, Aurora and discussed the details of having a false identification card manufactured. The officer was give a Spanish language business card explaining that the identification cards were produced to help people find jobs.

The following day, the women were paid $120 to make a card with his picture. After surveillance at the residence, police arrested the women Friday. Police also confiscated the ID manufacturing equipment located at their residence.

Martha Perez and Angelica Mondragon are scheduled to appear in court again on October 25, 2010.
