Crash on Prairie Rd North of Arlyd After Vernon Hills Police Terminated Pursuit

Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded to report of a crash on Prairie north of Arlyd Road, and also a similar report near the 2200 block of Avalon Drive. Information was also received that Vernon Hills police terminated a pursuit in the area. Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a one-car crash with a utility pole on top of it on Prairie, just north of Arlyd Road, and a police car up near the back of houses about 300 feet off of the road. A male and female suspect were in custody, likely in the area of the 2200 block of Avalon. The male and female apparently fled the car that crashed and were apprehended on the neighborhood street of Avalon Drive.

A total of three rescue-ambulances responded to the scene. A police officer possibly injured a hand.

Long Grove Fire Protection District sent and ambulance to assist the two ambulance crews that responded from Buffalo Grove Fire Department. Injured victims were transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center.

Traffic charges and possibly drug charges are related to the case.
