Elk Grove Fire Department pulled a victim from a submerged car in Busse Lake shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday at the boat docks on the west end of Busse Lake near Higgin and Route 53 [MAP/SAT].

Witnesses called 911 about 12:45 p.m. Monday. The witnesses saw a car roll into the Busse Lake, but did not know if anyone was in the car when it rolled into lake.

Elk Grove Fire Department has three ambulances on the scene and a Schaumburg ambulance is standing by at the scene also.

Divers are doing a thorough search with a Side-scan sonar from Lake County and requested a second Side-scan sonar from Wheeling Fire Department to confirm that there are no additional victims.

Side-scan sonar devices were already being used in a search for a missing kayaker in Waukegan.
