Chimney Fire on Wing Street

Arlington Heights Fire Department responded about 6:25 p.m. Sunday to a chimney fire at a home in the 1100 block of West Wing Street. Police arrived to find a resident on the roof attempting to fight the fire. Firefighters arrived within minutes and located the fire at the top of the chimney. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire immediately and stop fire that was just starting to affect the roof. Firefighters stopped the chimney fire within 20 minutes, and made sure no fire existed in the roof.

No injuries reported.
