#ad▼

The FBI is investigating details about a section of commuter train tracks that appears to have been sabotaged Sunday or Monday after Metra workers discovered 12 railroad spikes missing from tracks that serve the following train lines:

Metra Electric Line to University Park and Blue Island (Chicago to University Park/Electric Line Service)

South Shore Line (NICTD) to Michigan City and South Bend, Indiana.

The railroad spikes were removed from a section of rails thought to be about 14 feet in length along the Electric Line tracks near 100th Street, just south of the Bishop Ford Expressway [MAP/SAT].
