Raw Video of Echelon Building plane crash attack from George Castle.

Robin Dehaven rescued five survivors of the Echelon Building plane attack with his Binswanger Glass company work truck ladder. He was on the way to do his work as a glass worker with his work truck, when he saw a plane crash over a hill. He didn’t see the plane hit the Echelon Building in Austin, Texas; but he followed the direction of the smoke header and arrived near the building. Someone approached him and said they needed his ladder and services to rescue some people (four men and one woman) from the second floor of the building. The person hopped in the truck and they drove closer to the building, where smoke was billowing out, but flames were not yet visible.

Robin Dehaven rushed to get his ladder up to the side of the building and extended the ladder. The extension ladder was extended about 17 feet when Robin climbed the ladder and found five panicked people near the opening at the top of the ladder. He climbed into the building and encouraged the people to trust him to help them get down the ladder. Dehaven was inside the building about five minutes. The original position of the ladder was a little unstable, so another window was deliberately broken and the ladder was secured to that ledge. He helped the survivors of the plane attack get of their office building, and is credited with saving their lives.
