Two Stalled Freight Trains: Glen Ellyn, Western Springs Affecting Commute, Traffic

#ad▼

UPDATE: The freight train at Western Springs has cleared the train depot.

Two separate railroads are experiencing stalled freight trains that are blocking vehicle traffic and causing headaches for commuters. The Union Pacific West Line in Glen Ellyn has a stalled freight that is blocking train passengers from using the station at Glen Ellyn. A workaround may be available by using the Wheaton College Avenue stop or the Lombard station.

The other freight train is stalled in Western Springs. A Burlington Northern Santa Fe Line freight train is blocking access to the Western Springs station.
