Looney Tunes is an American animated series of comedy short films produced by Warner Bros. from 1930 to 1969 during the golden age of American animation, alongside its sister series Merrie Melodies.

Three of the Merrie Melodies films (Tweetie Pie, Speedy Gonzales and Birds Anonymous) won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film and another three (Duck Amuck, One Froggy Evening and What’s Opera, Doc?) have been inducted into the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.

Kids’ WB was relaunched as an online network on April 28, 2008, a few weeks before the television block was replaced by The CW4Kids. The Kids’ WB television block was discontinued on May 17, 2008, with its Saturday morning programming slot being sold to 4Kids Entertainment and replaced by successor block The CW4Kids.
