Police Searching Closed Sheraton Hotel for Trespasser

Arlington Heights police activity at shuttered Sheraton starting at about 7:00 p.m. Monday. Police are searching for a trespasser at the closed Northwest Sheraton at 3400 West Euclid Avenue in Arlington Heights. On-scene engineers and security inside the hotel saw a male/Hispanic running from the kitchen area toward an area that has access to the entire hotel.

Hoffman Estates Police Department K-9 unit is on the scene assisting Arlington Heights police. All exterior doors were checked and fresh snowfall showed no tracks near other doors, except the front door, which the offender did not exit.

The offender is described as about 6′ tall in his late or early 20’s; thin with curly, short dark hair; and wearing a black jacket.

The Sheraton Chicago Northwest closed permanently on Monday, December 28, 2009 due to a decline in business.
