Terrorist steals a gun from a security guard’s holster, runs and is chased and eventually shot by security guards.
AUG 10 2007 JERUSALEM — Ahmed Mahmoud Khatib, 29, was shot and killed after he stole a gun (Time: 00:37 s elapsed/00:23 s remaining) from patrolling security guard Mikhail Popov, 31, in Old City. Khatib fled ith the gun, attempted to fire the locked gun, unlocked the gun and then shot and injured Popov, who was in pursuit of Khatib.
Alex Nepelvich, Popov’s partner, was able to chase Khatib and shoot and kill him. Nine other people in addition to Popov were injured in the gunfight.
