Shots Fired, Schaumburg Home Invasion on Stonehenge Drive

Schaumburg police received a call for help about 6:50 p.m. Wednesday from a residence in the 1000 block of Stonehenge Drive. When Schaumburg officers arrived, they “were refused entrance to the home” but heard a a struggle inside.

A Schaumburg police officer went around the back of the residence and confronted a subject leaving the home. The suspect shot twice at the officer and fled. The suspect missed, and the officer pursued the suspect on foot. Schaumburg police activity: Police set up a perimeter search in the area bounded by Golf Road, Salem and Stonehenge. Arlington Heights Police Department K-9 unit assisted in the search.

Police eventually arrested three suspects and are investigating the incident. No charges have been filed as of Wednesday night.

One of two resident of the home that was invaded suffered minor injuries and was treated by Schaumburg Fire Department firefighter/paramedics.
