Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:50 p.m. Friday of a hit-and-run crash at Rand Road and Thomas Avenue. A green Jeep struck the victim’s car and then crossed the median and pulled into Nikko’s parking lot at Rand and Thomas Avenue.
Arlington Heights police arrived to find an uncooperative offender in the green Jeep.
The vehicle is possibly related to an earlier report of reckless driving/possible DUI.
One male driver was arrested at the crash scene at Rand Road and Thomas Avenue, and taken in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters. He was arrested with multiple charges, including DUI.
