SAT MAY 26 2007 — Lindsay Lohan was issued a summons for driving under the influence. The Beverly Hills Sheriff’s Department received a call around 5:30 a.m. about a driver who had lost control of a black Mercedes at the corner of Sunset Boulevard. and Foothill Drive [MAP/SAT]. When police arrived no one involved in the accident was on the scene. The only person on the scene was the witness who called 911. Lindsay and her two passengers left the scene of the accident and went to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
A police investigation revealed that Lindsay was intoxicated at the time and Lohan’s car was towed around 6:30 am Saturday morning. Lindsay Lohan was not taken into police custody, because of her need for medical attention. She will have to appear in court to face DUI charges, alhtough the court date has not been announced.
In a press conference Beverly Hills Sheriff Department reported they found a “usable amount” of cocaine at the scene of the accident.
Lindsay Lohan recently stayed at Wonderland rehab in January and February of 2007; and had also been in Alcoholics Anonymous for about one year.
