Buffalo Grove police received a report about 6:45 p.m. of a burglary to vehicle in progress in the 1000 block of Hilldale in Buffalo Grove. The owner of the vehicle that was burglarized chased the offenders southbound on Hilldale Lane and over to Hobson Lane, and was able to detain two of the offenders down on the grass of a yard on Hobson. One offender got away, but Buffalo Grove police officers, who arrived within minutes, were able to catch the third offender. Three offenders in custody at 6:51 p.m.
One of the offenders was wearing a blue hoodie sweatshirt. Another offender was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a white stripe. The age of the offenders was estimated to be about 16 years-old.
