Update: Motorcycle Crash Victim Joshua Kuhl, 33, Saved by CPR at Scene Near I-90 and Route 53, Dies

UPDATE (August 3, 2009 6:50 p.m.) …
Joshua Kuhl, 33, of Machesney Park, died at 9:47 p.m. Sunday at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge from injuries involved in a motorcycle crash last Tuesday.

Joshua Kuhl was near the interchange of I-290/Route 53 and Interstate 90 on his motorcycle when he lost control on an interchange ramp just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Elk Grove Village resident Jammie Meyer, a CPR trainer and aquatics supervisor for the Bloomingdale Park District was the first on the scene to administer CPR. Illinois State trooper Tyrone White was in the area and stopped to help at the accident. He was then assisted by a Cook County Sheriff’s Deputy Ruben Archilla, who also happened to stop at the accident scene. The three Good Samaritans performed CPR until Schaumburg and Rolling Meadows paramedics arrived on the scene and took over advanced life support.

Kuhl was transported to Level One Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
