Possible Gang Fight Near Bloomington and Lake Cook Road

#ad▼

Arlington Heights police officers responded to several calls reporting a fight involving about 10-12 Hispanics in an apartment complex parking lot in the 4100 block of North Bloomington Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. Some of the callers reported that the males were armed with bats, sticks, rocks and bottles; and appeared to be gang members. At least one caller reported that the males were throwing rocks at each other. When police officers arrived, the offenders ran in multiple directions — several males ran into the Lake County Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve.

Police caught up with several offenders at the intersection of Bloomington Avenue and Nichols Road. Police were also checking the neighborhood east on Partridge Lane. It is unknown if any arrests were made.
