
Police from Mount Prospect responded just after 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2026 to a report of a retail theft of an entire lottery machine from the Shell gas station, 1050 East Northwest Highway in Mount Prospect.
Suspects were connected to a silver Nissan 4-door sedan with no license plates and black wheels.
The first suspect was described as a male, age 20, 5’7″ with dark skin, thin build, wearing a ski mask, and red and black checkered hooded sweatshirt, and gray sweat pants.
The second suspect was described as a male, age 20, 5’7″ dark skin, thin build, wearing a ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and black sweatpants.
The suspects fled with the entire lottery machine in the trunk of the Nissan, and were unable to close the trunk lid of the Nissan. The suspects eventually fled southbound on an undisclosed street near the retail theft crime scene at the gas station located at the northwest corner of Northwest Highway and Mount Prospect Road.
Initially, it is unknown if the suspects are connected in any manner to the case involving arrests of three lottery ticket burglary suspects that the Arlington Heights Police Department announced Thursday evening, July 16, 2026.
