Rolling Meadows police officers, and firefighters and paramedics from Rolling Meadows and Arlington Heights fire departments responded about 9:40 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026 to a report of a crash at Algonquin Road and Keystone Court in Rolling Meadows.

Upon arrival first responders discovered a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a Bobcat excavator. A witness reported that a construction worker in the Bobcat excavator was injured and transported from the scene by ambulance.

Initially, it is unknown how many ambulances were on scene, but Arlington Heights Fire Department Ambulance 3’s crew transported a patient from the scene, according to a witness.

Lane closures with road construction were reported by Wazers Friday, July 24, 2026.

Algonquin Road in and around Rolling Meadows is undergoing significant summer 2026 construction, including the Algonquin Road and New Wilke Road Intersection upgrade and Illinois Route 53 Improvements.
