Radar is clear in northern Illinois at about 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Wildfire smoke has again filled in over the region bringing hazy skies and poor air quality. An Air Quality Alert is in effect Sunday, July 19, 2026. The AQI monitor in Northbrook, Illinois detected readings in the “Unhealthy (Red)” category and peaked about midnight Saturday/Sunday with an AQI of 199. After gradually dropping during the early morning hours Sunday, there was an AQI of 133 at 11:00 a.m., which is in the “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (Orange)” category.
