Anthony Garcia, age 23, of the 3100 block of West 53rd Street in Chicago was arrested by the members of the Chicago Police Department’s Citywide Robbery Task Force on March 31, 2026. Anthony Garcia was arrested in the 5200 block of South Troy after he was identified as the offender who robbed multiple victims at gunpoint after arranging sales thorough an online marketplace. The robberies occurred last month in the 9th District:

March 17, 2026 – 5200 block of S. Kedzie; 20-year-old male victim

March 27, 2026 – 5300 block of S. Kedzie; 20-year-old male victim

March 28, 2026 – 5200 block of S. Kedzie; 19-year-old male victim

March 29, 2026 – 5300 block of S. Kedzie; 29-year-old male victim

March 29, 2026 – 5200 block of S. Kedzie; 21-year-old male victim

According to Chicago PD, subject approached a 38-year-old female passenger on the train and made inappropriate physical contact with her. He then followed the victim for a short time after she exited the train located near the 800 block of N. State on March 25, 2026, at approximately 4:40 p.m. to Rush & Division.

DESCRIBED: Hispanic male, 5’11″-6’2″, 190-210 lbs., with a thin goatee, wearing a dark-colored baseball
