UPDATE: The Palatine Police Department reports that Anilegna “Anni” Venegas has been located and is safe.

The Palatine Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile, Anilegna “Anni” Venegas, age 14.

Anilegna Venegas was last seen one week ago on Friday, January 23, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., when she left her residence in the 1200 block of East Wyndham Court, Palatine. She left on foot in an unknown direction of travel. It is believed she may have been picked up by an unknown person in an unknown vehicle.

Anilegna has not communicated with any friends or family since leaving, which is unusual behavior for her. Prior to leaving, she reportedly told a friend she was traveling to Michigan (specific location unknown) with an unknown individual and was expected to return by January 26, 2026.

Anilegna Venegas is also known to frequent the Chicago area.

Anilegna Venegas was last seen wearing: Pink jacket, pink shirt, pink pants, and brown boots.
