Two separate overnight incidents, one during a traffic stop, and the other during a welfare check of a motorist, led Palatine police officers to recover significant amounts of methamphetamine, resulting in the arrest of two individuals.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, around 10:30 p.m., a Palatine police officer was in the area of East Dundee Road and North Frontage Road when he observed the driver of a white Nissan sedan on E. Dundee Rd fail to stop for a red light.
The officer made a traffic stop of the vehicle, which was driven by 30-year-old Jonathan Cruz Arreola, of the 1500 block of N. Crimson Ln, Palatine. A consent search of the vehicle uncovered narcotics paraphernalia, along with approximately 17 grams of methamphetamine found in a bag belonging to Cruz Arreola.
Cruz Arreola was arrested and charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine 15–100 grams (Class 1 Felony)
Manufacture/Delivery of Methamphetamine 15–100 grams (Class X Felony)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor)
Approximately two hours later, around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, a Palatine police officer on patrol in the 1100 block of East Nichols Road found a woman who appeared to be unconscious or asleep inside a running dark-colored Honda minivan. The officer conducted a welfare check and made contact with the sole occupant, identified as 38-year-old Alissa J. Goudie of the 7000 block of 248th Ave in Salem, Wisconsin. While speaking with Goudie, officers observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, and a subsequent search resulted in the discovery of approximately 25 grams of methamphetamine.
Goudie was charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver 15–100 grams (Class X Felony)
Possession of Methamphetamine 15–100 grams (Class 1 Felony)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor)

Both Cruz Arreola and Goudie were charged and released with an assigned court date of Monday, November 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., in Room 108 of the Cook County 3rd District Courthouse in Rolling Meadows.
