Two people were injured in a shooting during a dispute at a Walmart store Wednesday afternoon in Evergreen Park — one male, age 23, was shot multiple times inside the store, and a 70 year-old woman not connect to the dispute was hit by an apparent bullet fragment.
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Evergreen Park responded about 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 to a report of a shooting at Walmart, 2500 West 95th Street in Evergreen Park.
The shooting investigation is underway in the area of 95th and Western Evergreen Park, Illinois.
Evergreen Park police released information that the male, age 23, was shot multiple times inside the store while being chased by an armed offender. The victim was transported to a Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Christ Medical Center, and was listed in serious condition.
Police searched a large perimeter in the neighborhood near the Walmart store.
A vehicle wanted in connection with the shooting was located about five miles from Evergreen Park in Chicago, and a suspect or person of interest has been taken into custody.
