An Illinois State Police radio broadcast overnight announced that Buffalo Grove police responded just before 2:35 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025 to stop a fleeing motorist overnight after a hit-and-run crash involving a Buffalo Grove police vehicle at an undisclosed location. However, the Buffalo Grove Police Department is sure that is an incorrect report. Buffalo Grove police are certain they weren’t involved in such an incident.
CARDINAL NEWS checked with Elk Grove Village Police Department, Downers Grove Police Department, and Sugar Grove Police Department to see if there was an error that might have actually involved an of those municipal police department. They all politely said ‘No’ it wasn’t them. There are no other suburbs with ‘Grove’ in their official name in DuPage County or Will County.
