Des Plaines police were involved in a police pursuit around 3:11 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024 2023. Two occupants were in the vehicle being pursued, and the driver is wanted for investigation of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Police were in pursuit of two occupants in a maroon Jeep Patriot. The initial circumstances of the police activity were not disclosed, but two male/white suspects wearing ski masks were armed beginning in the area of Lance Drive and Shawn Lane, northeast of Thacker Street/Dempster Street and Elmhurst Road in Des Plaines.
The suspects fled police north into Mount Prospect and were reported “last seen” westbound on Central Road from Mount Prospect Road.
It is unknown if the pursuit was terminated.
There was no indication that the suspects were in custody, and it is possible tha the pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.
