Buffalo Grove police responded about 3:23 PM Thursday December 28, 2023 to an armed robbery at 500 West Half Day Road Buffalo Grove, IL. Police received a report that a male offender committed a robbery at or near the BMO Bank N.A. Initially, is unknown if the bank was robbed, or if a customer was robbed near the bank. The incident was described by police as an armed robbery (the term bank robbery was not used).
The suspect is described as a male/white, age 50, about 6’0″, with a scar on his face, black mustache and beard; and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
A weapon was implied, but not displayed.
The offender took cash.
The offender fled in a black Mazda SUV with no plates, and was last seen southbound on Buffalo Grove Road.
The crime is reported to have occurred 3:27 p.m.
