Police officers from Skokie responded about 1:03 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023 to a report of a vehicular hijacking at a gas station in the block of 9200 Skokie Boulevard in Skokie.
A victim was standing outside his car and was knocked down while getting gasoline. The victim got in his vehicle and then was pulled out by one of the offenders. One of the offenders fled with the vehicle while the pump nozzle was still attached to victim’s vehicle. The pump nozzle was still attached to the victim’s vehicle when the vehicle was last seen.
The carjacking victim held on to his vehicle and was dragged by the offender fleeing with his Porsche Cayenne. The extent of any injuries involving the victim was initially unknown.
Stolen was a white 2023 Porsche Cayenne SUV.
The offenders’ chase vehicle was a black Audi A4 with out of state license plates.
The suspects were initially described as two male blacks with no additional descriptions.
The offenders were last seen, one each in the stolen vehicle and the chase vehicle, westbound on Dempster Street from Gross Point Road.
The crime scene is likely at the gas pumps north of the Waterway Carwash. Skokie police are investigating.
