Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies and Antioch Fire Protection District firefighters and paramedics responded on August 23, 2023 to a report of a fire in the block of 26200 West Forest Court, unincorporated Antioch. A 911 caller reported they heard an explosion and saw their neighbor’s house on fire.
Antioch Fire Protection District quickly extinguished the fire. There was significant damage to the home and two vehicles parked outside the home. The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire and nobody was inside.
Evidence was located in the home indicating the fire is suspicious in nature. Lake County Sheriff’s Arson Investigators are working with the Antioch Fire Protection District and Office of the State Fire Marshall to further the investigation.
