Police, firefighters and paramedics from Glenview responded about 6:36 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 to a report of a stabbing in the block of 1100 Arbor Lane in Glenview.
Glenview Fire Department paramedics transported Perron M. Thurston, age 50, of Glenview to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he was pronounced dead.
Glenview Police Department described the incident as “a domestic-related incident.”
This fatal stabbing is currently being investigated by Glenview Police Detectives with assistance from the North Regional Violent Crimes Task Force (NORTAF), the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police took a person of interest in custody
According to the Glenview Police Department, the stabbing is a targeted incident, and there is no known threat to the public.
