The Cook County Medical Examiners Office on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 released the cause of death of a person found unresponsive in Grove 4 of Busse Wood Monday morning. A female resident of Elk Grove Village was found deceased. The cause of death has been ruled a suicide by gunshot wound.
Cook County Forest Preserve Police, and firefighters and paramedics from Elk Grove Village responded about 8:26 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2023 to a report of an unresponsive “male” with blood visible at Grove 4 of Busse Woods in Elk Grove Township.
Paramedics arrived quickly to the scene and determined that the victim was deceased.
