Public works crews from Arlington Heights responded around 7:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023 to repair a water main break that occurred near the north side curb of Euclid Avenue just west of Hickory Avenue.
Westbound Euclid Avenue was detoured to northbound Hickory Avenue to westbound Hawthorne Street, and southbound Douglas Avenue back to Euclid Avenue.
Three utility USIC locator trucks (US Infrastructure Company trucks) were on the scene along with Arlington Heights Public Works crew members. Excavation in the westbound lane of Euclid Avenue began about 7:46 a.m.
