Police from Rolling Meadows responded late Monday night July 3, 2023 to a report of a commercial burglary at the Green Zone delta-8 THC and CBD dispensary and vape store, 1935 Plum Grove Road in Rolling Meadows. The precise time of the burglary report was not available.
Police also responded to a commercial burglary at an unspecified location in Mount Prospect overnight Monday to Tuesday. The burglary was possibly at a dispensary and/or vape shop in Mount Prospect.
A Mount Prospect police officer was also reported injured in the area of The Element apartment complex overnight Monday to Tuesday. A Mount Prospect Fire Department ambulance was dispatched to the scene for an injured police officer about 12:23 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2023. There was also police activity in the parking lot of the Element apartment complex, and in the parking lot southeast of the intersection of Dempster Street and Busse Road near Culver’s.
A least one juvenile was taken into custody in Mount Prospect, but the circumstances regarding the police activity were not available.
Further details were initially unavailable from the Village of Mount Prospect. Police are investigating whether the commercial burglaries in Rolling Meadows and Mount Prospect are connected.
