Arlington Heights Resident Arrested After Criminal Sexual Assault Investigation Involving a Minor

Arlington Heights police officers have arrested a twenty-nine-year-old Arlington Heights resident living in the block of 2000 North Evergreen Avenue for sexual crimes against a juvenile victim.




Arlington Heights Police Department detectives conducted an extensive investigation following a reported criminal sexual assault brought on behalf of a juvenile victim. The initial report revealed the offender met the victim through mutual acquaintances. Soon after, the offender contacted the victim through a series of social media messages to solicit and lure the victim to perform acts of sexual conduct, according to the Arlington Heights Police Department.

The investigation revealed the offender was aware of the victim’s age. The offender subsequently met the victim on a number of occasions. During these encounters, the offender allegedly committed sexual acts with the victim while continuously encouraging the victim to participate in the sexual conduct.

The offender was positively identified as Mark Brusilovsky. Detectives arrested Brusilovsky on May 30, 2023. Brusilovsky said during an interview he knew the juvenile’s age and corroborated the course of his actions as revealed by the investigation. After consultation with the Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney’s Office, Brusilovsky is initially charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse; Traveling to Meet a Child; Indecent Solicitation of a Child; and Grooming.




The suspect has worked as an engineer or sales engineer during the past seven years.

On Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Room 108, 3rd Municipal District Cook
County Courthouse in Rolling Meadows, Judge Ellen Mandeltort ordered Brusilovsky held on $45,000.00 cash bond – (10% does not apply).

Brusilovsky’s next court date is June 23, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 108 at the Cook County Circuit Courthouse in Rolling Meadows.
