Metra Passenger Gets Off Metra Train, Lights Pants on Fire Arlington Heights

Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 7:59 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 to a report that a male exited a Metra train, took off his pants, and lit his pants on fire on the Metra train station platform at 45 West Northwest Highway in Arlington Heights.

Police arrived first to find some smoldering pants on the train station platform, and learned that the offender fled the scene. Tower 1’s crew made sure the smoldering pants were extinguished.




There were no Metra alerts posted on the Metra UP-NW Twitter account.
