Police, firefighters and paramedics from Chicago responded about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 to a report of a fire in a factory at 4537 West Fullerton Street in Chicago.
Engine 117’s crew on arrival reported a fire in a 1-story factory. Battalion Chief 18 reported a fire in a 1-story factory, 75×75 square feet with fire through the roof. A Still and Box was activated about 6:41 a.m. and a 2-11 alarm was activated about 7:00 a.m.
The roof is a dangerous truss roof structure, and firefighters are fighting the fire defensively. The roof completely collapsed by 7:40 a.m.
The 2-11 Alarm was struck out about 7:46 a.m.
Initially, no injuries reported.
Fulton Street traffic was blocked at Cicero Avenue.
