Illinois State Police received a report about 12:36 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022 of a wrong-way driver northbound in the southbound lanes of I-290/IL-53 near Biesterfield Road near Elk Grove Village
The vehicle was described as a black Pontiac traveling at a high rate of speed, and also reported as a black Chevrolet at Euclid Avenue at about 12:41 p.m.
The vehicle was reported on Route 53 northbound in the southbound lanes between Palatine Road and Rand Road at 12:44 p.m.
The vehicle was last seen exiting at Lake Cook Road — unknown what direction on Lake Cook Road, and reported at about 12:48 p.m.
