Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 7:45 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2022 to a report of a rollover crash with injuries at Arlington Heights Road and Hintz Road Arlington Heights.
The first fire/EMS crew on arrival discovered a pickup truck rolled onto the driver’s side, and a minivan with severe front-end damage upright on four wheels. The male driver of the pickup truck was extricated out the windshield of the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck was transported by Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics to Northwest Community Hospital. The driver of the minivan did not appear to be significantly injured.
The crash and crash management affected traffic mostly in the right lane of southbound Arlington Heights. Also, the left turn lane from northbound Arlington Heights Road to westbound Hintz road was blocked by police. Hintz Road west of Arlington Heights Road was blocked in both directions.
The driver of a white sedan was ordered to turn away from the crash scene where Hintz Road was completely blocked west of Arlington Heights. She was eastbound on Hintz Road and passed through traffic cones, and was about to enter the crash scene with her vehicle.
