Man Dies After Crash at Mount Prospect Public Works Building on Central Road

Police, firefighters and paramedics from Mount Prospect responded about 8:50 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 to a report of a high-speed crash with injuries and entrapment at 1700 West Central Road, Mount Prospect. Information from the scene indicated that a male driver crashed into a wall at the Mount Prospect Public Works building near Central Road and Busse Road in Mount Prospect.

A male patient, age 29, was extricated from the vehicle by 9:05 p.m., and was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he was pronounced dead.

Initially, the Cook County Medical Examiners Office did not rule on a cause of death connected to the crash.

The entrance to the public works facility is aligned with Busse Road at the intersection of Central Road and Busse Road.
