One week after Robert Crimo III, 21, had been indicted on 117 total counts related to a mass shooting at a 4th of July Parade in Highland Park, accused of killing seven people and wounding at least 30 others, the reviled suspect entered a not guilty plea on all 117 counts.
On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office presented its case to a Grand Jury to indict Robert Crimo III, on 117 total counts. Early Wednesday afternoon, the Grand Jury returned indictments on all 117 counts.
Crimo is charged with 21 counts of first-degree murder, 3 counts of first degree for each deceased victim. The defendant is additionally charged with 48 counts of attempted murder and 48 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm for each victim who was struck by a bullet, bullet fragment, or shrapnel.

Crimo had been set to appear in court, in person, today, Wednesday, August 3, at 11 a.m. for his arraignment. There was no preliminary hearing on Thursday, July 28.
