Buffalo Grove police revealed Tuesday, July 26, 2022 that a handgun and ammunition were recovered on a traffic stop recently (date/time not provided).
The recent traffic stop of a motorist by the Buffalo Grove Police Department was initiated because of an equipment and moving violation. The traffic stop resulted in the recovery of a handgun loaded with 16 rounds in the stopped vehicle. Police officers determined that the handgun was illegally possessed and that the handgun was reported stolen in Evanston, Illinois.
