Two Shot at Walmart on Fountain Square, Waukegan

Police, firefighters and paramedics from Waukegan responded about 1:25 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 to a report of a shooting at Walmart, 3900 Fountain Square in Waukegan.

Police secured the scene, and Waukegan Fire Department paramedics moved up to treat one patient that was still at the scene. Paramedics treated one gunshot victim at the scene and transported their patient to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center. A second gunshot victim was transported, possibly in the offender’s vehicle, to another hospital.

The offender’s vehicle was described as a newer model black Nissan Altima with silver rims, tinted windows, and silver trim.

A shooter in the Nissan Altima was described as a male/Hispanic. One to three additional suspects were possibly in the Nissan Altima with multiple guns involved in the incident. One of the guns may have been a rifle.
