Lisle-Woodridge Fire District firefighters responded about 4:57 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 to a report of a house fire on Radcliffe Road near Summit Drive in unincorporated Naperville. A structure fire response was immediately dispatched, sending four engines, two trucks, two medical units, and a command team to the scene. There are no fire hydrants in this neighborhood, so water tenders (tankers) were also dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival fire crews initiated an aggressive interior fire attack, quickly placing a fire attack hose line into service. Early into suppression activities the first floor partially collapsed into the crawlspace, and fire companies backed out of the building. All occupants escaped the building without injury.

Limited water supply, and severe winter weather contributed to the difficulty in extinguishment of the fire, which was in the void spaces of the home. Additional companies were requested to the scene.
