Family Dog Rescued in House Fire on Memory Ln in Lake Zurich

Police, firefighters and paramedics from Lake Zurich responded about 7:08 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022 to a report of a house fire in the block of 1000 Memory Lane in Lake Zurich.

The fire department response was quickly upgraded to a working fire response when the owner, who had just returned home, and firefighters found smoke inside the two-story single-family residence.




According to Lake Zurich fire department, firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and had the fire under control at 7:58 PM. Significant damage occurred at the house, and the home is uninhabitable.

The family dog was rescued from the residence by firefighters. There were no reported injuries.

Firefighters from Barrington, Barrington-Countryside responded with automatic aid to the working fire response.

A MABAS Division 4 Box Alarm #32-1 was activated at 7:41 p.m. Firefighters, paramedics and/or command officers from Buffalo Grove, Countryside, Fox River Grove, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Libertyville, Mundelein, Rolling Meadows, and Wauconda were assigned to the scene.

Firefighters, paramedics and/or command officers from Crystal Lake, Palatine Rural Fire Protection District, Streamwood, and Wheeling were assigned to stand by in Lake Zurich fire stations.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
