Police, firefighters and paramedics responded about 4:12 a.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022 to a report of a shooting in the block of 1300 Eagle Road in Elgin. According to Elgin police department, officers located two subjects with injuries. One subject was transported by Elgin Fire Department paramedics to an area hospital. The second subject’s injury did not require medical treatment, according to Elgin Police Department.
Elgin police stated that preliminary information indicates the incident appears is isolated with no threat to the community.
Detectives from the Major Investigations Division are actively investigating the case and updates will be provided as they become available.
